Jurex PRO

JurexPRO is a complete document management system specialized in law documents, containing a rich viewer application and utilities aiding in building the document database. The application uses new and competitive technologies such as XML, RDF lightweight SQL engine, GECKO etc. to provide features such as:

About GECKO

Developed as an engine for the Mozilla browser it grew into a complete programming platform providing some excellent features such as:

portability across Windows, UNIX, MacOS etc.
rapid interface development using JavaScript and XUL
highly extensible by implementing XPCOM components
localization using language packs
unsurpassed interface design capabilities using the XUL language combined with HTML and CSS
built-in skin support, further expanding interface capabilities
communications support, including all the standard web protocols

Technical information

Built around the Mozilla's GECKO engine, the main application consists of:

XPCOM component interfacing the document database. The component was developed in C++ and implements the search features and an abstract database interrogation interface.
Chrome package implementing the user interface using XUL and JavaScript language
Automatic update system fully implemented in JavaScript.
